Tugende Mu kikadde (Back to the Roots), dubbed Father or Mother Edition, is set to take place on December 2, 2023, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

The event, which will be sponsored mainly by MTN and celebrate the rich history of Ugandan music with a touch of oldie dress code, will feature artists like Mariam Ndagire, Ngoni Brothers, Sophie Gombya, Qute Kaye, the Ngoni, Queen Florence, Gerald Kiwewa, and Phoebe Nasolo, alongside Janzi Band.

The tickets for the oldie music will go for UGX100,000 for the ordinary entrance, UGX300,000 for the gold, UGX150.000 for the father or mother ticket, and UGX3 million for the platinum table.

The revelers will enjoy songs like Byonna Twala, Kiki Onvuma, Let It Go, Ginkeese, Gwendota, Nina Omwaami, Bigula,Digi , Inzikuru, Wansumulula, and Kankwagale, to mention but a few.

The concept was established to celebrate legendary artists who dominated the music industry in Uganda in the early 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s.
