Serere Man Kills Son for failing to Graze Animals

Police in Serere district have arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly murdering his son.

It’s alleged the suspect, identified as Peter Emalu, a resident of Openeye village, reportedly beat the deceased John Obote, 13, to death and later tried to hang his body in a move to fake a suicide case.

SCP Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson, said on Monday, August 28th, that the suspect is in police custody pending an appearance in court. The police have preferred murder against the suspect.
