NMG appoints Flavia Tumusiime to Top Broadcast Job

Tumusiime will be tasked with the role of overseeing the day-to-day functions, operations, and activities of the broadcast services of the sister stations; NTV, Spark TV, Dembe FM, and KFM.

Nation Media Group (NMG) has appointed Flavia Tumusiime, a long serving media personality to the position of the new head of broadcast.

The appointment follows the exit of Johnson Omollo before the Serena based station could undergo reforms and a series of staff  reshuffles earlier in 2024.

In a public announcement, NMG management praised the 32-year-old for her overly experimental and knowledgeable record in the field of broadcast.

“A respected voice in the industry. Flavia’s leadership and passion for impactful storytelling will be a great asset for our team,” it read.

Who is Flavia Tumusiime?

Media personality, Flavia Tumusiime, born on 11 February 1989, not only cemented her position in the industry but also became beloved by her legion of social media followers for her “inspirational success story”. This makes her one of today’s most likeable and entertaining celebrity figures.

Her television career began when she was a teenager, she started presenting on WBS TV’s Teen’s club in 2002, a program she hosted with other teenagers for four years.

Tumusiime joined NTV Uganda in 2016 as an anchor of the English news bulletin NTV Tonight and began hosting a morning show Morning at NTV in 2018.

However, her closeness and compatibility with the audience on Capital FM’s AM to PM show won her a lifetime of followers and passionate clients.

Tumusiime will be tasked with the role of overseeing the day-to-day functions, operations, and activities of the broadcast services of the sister stations; NTV, Spark TV, Dembe FM, and KFM.

As a former employee of NTV, her familiar expertise and journalistic zeal are highly anticipated to confront the huge responsibility she now holds.
