The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Martin Okoth Ochola in a press release has assured 42 senior police officers who have been sent for a one-year Senior Command and Staff Course at Bwebajje College that they will be charged in case they waste government resources.

“This time round those who fail will also be charged for wastage of government resources,” Ochola said.

“All officers who have been selected for one-year Course must hand over their offices and prepare themselves for the course,” IGP added.

He cautioned the  police officers against indiscipline and asked them to instead to uphold maximum discipline while at course.

“Some officers end up failing the course because while at course some officers dodge and go for alcohol consumption,” Ochola said.

The IGP also told officers to report for training on August 1, 2023 without fail or else their admission will be cancelled, either by face dismissal or deduction of the rank.

The officers are among the newly promoted Police Chiefs. Some of the officers who will enroll in the 7th Intake include; CP Polly Namaye-the Deputy Police spokesperson, CP Phillip Achayi-Deputy Traffic Commander, CP Hillary Kulayigye-Deputy Director CPC, ACP Norman Musinga-RPC Rwenzori East, and ACP David Manzi  who is under Counter terrorism.
