Uganda has been recognized by the AIM Global Investment Awards as the leading UAE investment destination in Africa at the 2024 Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Abu Dhabi.

This development was confirmed by Hon. Evelyne Anite, the State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

“Uganda has been awarded a recognition award for best investment destination in Africa,” Hon. Anite posted on her official X handle.

She also appreciated H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), and the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development (MOFED), among others, for their efforts in transforming Uganda’s investment sector.

In 2023, Uganda won the award for best investment destination in East Africa.

The AIM Global Investment Awards aim at recognizing the best-performing investment promotion agencies across the globe.
