Uganda Police to Host the 17th Edition of Inter-forces Games 2023

Uganda Police is set to host the 17th edition of the Inter-forces games 2023, which is scheduled to start on November 18, 2023, and end on December 5, 2023.

The games which are an annual event will see members of Uganda Peoples Defence Forces, Uganda Police Force, Uganda Prisons Services, and Uganda Wildlife Authority sportsmen and women competing in the 2023 Inter-forces games.

According to the UPDF Spokesperson, Colonel Deo Akiiki, the theme will be Fostering wellness and Inter-agency Cooperation for a Safe and Secure Society.

He said that, the official opening ceremony for the games will be on November 27, 2023, at Kabalye Police Training School in Masindi at 2:00 p.m.

“Different games will be played at different venues. Among the games, we have football, netball, volleyball, athletics, handball, darts, and range shooting,” Akiiki said.

From the available fixtures, there will be range shooting from November 18th to December 5, 2023, at Kigo Prisons. There will be other games happening in Masindi at Kabalye Football grounds, and also a 10 km road race on November 27, 2023, at Masindi Boma grounds.

In 2022, the event was held at Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese and the Uganda Police Forces were crowned winners of the 16th Edition.
