Kyotera: Three Arrested over Burning a Suspected Boda-Boda Thief in Kalisizo

Police in Kyotera District on Thursday, June 29, 2023, arrested three men that allegedly got involved in burning to ashes a suspected Boda-boda motorcycle thief. The names of the three suspects are yet to be identified.

“The two suspects are part of a mob who tied on a tree and burnt Kimbowa at Ninzi cell in Kalisizo Town,’’ Hassan Musooba, Kyotera District Police Commander said.

According to the Police, the deceased who was identified as David Kimbowa, is also accused of murdering Boda-boda riders in Kalisizo and Kyotera towns.

An eye witness who preferred anonymity revealed that boda-boda riders in Kalisizo town have been tracking David Kimbowa from the time police arrested three criminals.

Julius Mujuni, the Officer In-Charge of Crime Intelligence at Kalisizo Police Station, condemned the act of lawlessness and vowed to arrest everyone involved the murder of Kimbowa.

This comes after the arrest of Godfrey Ssebalu, a resident of Nabyaju village, Kiyaga Mike, and Mohammad Kiyimba from Kalungu District over possession of 21 stolen motorcycle number plates.

Kalisizo police revealed that, the trio were hiding in Katafaali trading center, Kyanamukaaka Sub County, adding that, some of the number plate owners were murdered.
