Awilo Longomba, whose real name is Louis Albert William Longomba, is in Uganda to headline the much-anticipated concert.

The ongoing fight and crackdown on corruption is aimed at creating a corruption-free country in Uganda, a move geared by President Museveni to crush all corrupt officials engaged in illegal activities that deter economic progress in Uganda.

Despite a recent report disclosing  that Uganda has lost over UGX 12 trillion in the past five years through similar tax waivers, the government asked the Parliament of Uganda to exempt eight companies  and individuals from paying taxes worth UGX 13.391 billion due to various reasons like COVID-19 effects that affected businesses, and ill health.

The EASF, which was established in 2007 and reached full operational capability in December 2015, is the product of several factors that have defined regional integration in the field of peace and security in Eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa, including long-standing and continuing tensions between countries of the region and the threats to peace and security with internal wars, environmental degradation, terrorism, and unconstitutional changes of government notwithstanding. 

The merger is a strategic move to consolidate resources and enhance the effectiveness of government planning and population management efforts in Uganda.

Celebrating the kindness of humanitarian workers is not enough; in Uganda and beyond, they should be protected, respected, and funded adequately when in the course of their work.

It is unfortunate that culture and tradition are not well kept because they are passed on by word of mouth; therefore, they will phase out if not revived and preserved through cultural heritage.

The meeting marks a pivotal moment in strengthening the ties between the two nations, as both military leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing security cooperation and fostering peace in the East African region.
