The Mbale Wildlife Conservation Education Centre is expected to serve as a regional hub for conservation knowledge and environmental stewardship in Eastern Uganda. Through educational programs, outreach activities, and awareness campaigns, the facility will help nurture a culture of sustainable environmental management and responsible conservation practices.
“Now, every time the Budget is read, we hear just increments of taxes on most consumable products such as alcohol, and sugar, among others. How would you expect me to listen to something that bothers me more? The President should instead downsize the district security structures where people are fond of playing the same roles,” Kayiira said.
“He delivered a personal memoir that begins in 1959, when he visited a stock farm as a Primary Seven pupil, compared milk production figures from 1986, recounted bus fares from 1967 from Rushere to Katongore, and described sleeping next to sheaves of millet in Naama. This is an autobiography,” Centenary said.
“Factories and rice farms that belong to the rich sit undisturbed in the same wetlands where ordinary citizens are being chased away. At one time, NEMA's Executive Director admitted that some commercial structures were exempted from demolition because they received government approvals. So who issues these approvals?” Centenary asked.
“Let's ask Museveni what happened to Lubowa Hospital. Uganda taxpayers have paid more than UGX 1.4 trillion to Pinetti, and nothing is on the ground. Even in this financial year, Parliament is set to release an additional allocation of UGX 305 billion in promissory notes to Pinetti, with zero progress,” Centenary said.
According to FDC’s legal team, several clauses violate the 1995 Constitution, including redefining diaspora citizens as foreigners and criminalizing opposition activity. The party further argued that the bill duplicates existing laws and risks economic disruption by restricting foreign funding.
