Under Uganda's Penal Code, Section 27, misprision of treason refers to the offence of knowingly concealing information about planned or intended treason without reporting it to the appropriate authorities. The offence carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment upon conviction.

"The magistrate has informed us that her ruling is not ready. She has taken note of all the health concerns we raised.
