Kampala Metropolitan Police has arrested more than 100 suspects in coordinated operations across several divisions, recovering weapons, suspected stolen motorcycles and dismantling criminal hideouts in a major security crackdown.

On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, a fuel tanker that was traveling from Kampala to Gulu overturned and caught fire, claiming the lives of over 15 people in Kigogwa town along Bombo Road.

Such incidences point to the need to sensitize locals on public safety during such incidences.

As part of the prosecution, Ssentongo and his accomplice will be required to appear before a military court to answer as per Section 161 of the UPDF Act 2005.
