"He was a freedom fighter, a patriot and a peacemaker. When we engaged, he understood that Uganda needed unity rather than endless conflict," Museveni said.
The committee, chaired by the Mbarara City South Member of Parliament (MP), Mwine Mpaka, is meeting with officials from the Ministry of Works and Transport to assess progress on ongoing road projects, examine implementation challenges, and review the ministry's overall performance in the roads sector.
"As Uganda expands its footprint in the European Union, Asia, the Middle East and other markets, our success will increasingly depend not only on what we produce but on how well our products meet international standards and regulatory requirements,” Masagazi said.
