The Kingdom has further called upon all media houses, journalists, photographers and content creators covering the funeral proceedings to work within the established media coordination arrangements and to respect the privacy of the Royal Family and those closest to His Majesty as they mourn.
Africa Down Under, now in its 24th edition, was established to promote Australia’s interests in Africa’s mining and energy sectors. It has since grown into the largest African-focused mining event held outside the continent.
“During our regional meetings, we shall use this platform to talk to parents, religious leaders, political leaders and cultural leaders to stand up and speak out about Uganda being under siege so that we can all as one stand up and change this country,” Kabuye added.
The protesters had seven key demands, among them being the resignation of Speaker of Parliament Anita Among, the resignation of the four back bencher commissioners, reducing the number of Members of Parliament (MPs), and reducing the MPs' salaries and allowances to Ugx 3 million, among others.
