Special Forces Command Soldier Murdered in Cold Blood at Kasenyi

Police in Kasenyi have on October 2, 2023, found the body of a Special Forces Command (SFC) soldier who had just returned from a mission in Somalia.

The OC station of Entebbe Division, ASP. Ivan Karaiega has said that, the deceased has been identified as CPL Henry Mawadri, aged 36 years, Madi by tribe, a UPDF soldier attached to the Sera Kasenyi Special Forces Command Training School and a resident of Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district.

Karaiega said that, the deceased’s body was discovered in the early hours of the morning at the Kasenyi landing site, and it has been taken to Mulago for a postmortem examination.

Karaiega said that, three suspects have been arrested to help with investigations.

He added that, the arrests were made with the help of the canine team at Entebbe.

“We are looking for more suspects, and we shall find them,” Karaiega said.

The police have said they are yet to find the people responsible for such gruesome murders.
