President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to resume his national assessment tour on the Parish Development Model (PDM) on November 8, 2024, and not on November 6, 2024, as initially scheduled.
In a statement released on November 5, 2024, the Presidential Press Unit confirmed the change of date, stating that the tour will still last for three days ending on November 10, 2024, with an address to a public rally.
“The Presidential Press Unit (PPU) informs the General Public that due to other pressing duties, the Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment tour by the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, in the Bukedi Sub-Region has been rescheduled from November 6 to November 8, 2024, and will last for three days until November 10, 2024,” part of the statement read.

According to the PPU, the Eastern Uganda tour will begin in the Bukedi sub-region, where the president will evaluate the progress and impact of the PDM initiatives aimed at economic empowerment and grassroots development together with the local leaders, members of the public, selected model farmers, and the technical staff.
