Ministry of Lands to Hold 2nd Uganda BuildCon International Expo

The Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development is set to hold the 2nd edition of the Uganda BuildCon International Expo slated for August 10, 2023, to August 12, 2023, at UMA show grounds, Lugogo-Kampala.

During a press conference held at Uganda Media Centre on Friday, August 4, 2023, the State Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Persis Namuganza noted that, the Ministry of Lands in partnership with Exhibitions & Trade Services India jointly with FUTUREX are set to hold the biggest expo in the country that will focus on the construction industry intended to provide affordable housing for Ugandans.

The 2nd Edition of Uganda BuildCon International Expo will focus on architecture, construction and machinery, building materials, engineering and innovation, interior designs, heavy equipment and hardware, tiles & ceramics, Government of Uganda construction-related programs, policies, and regulations, among others.

Namuganza revealed that the theme of the Expo is “Connect with the Construction Industry to Build a Better Tomorrow.”

The State Minister added that, the Expo is aimed to showcase the latest products and technologies in the building and construction industry to the stakeholders in Uganda and East Africa.

“This International Expo will bring together over one hundred twenty-five (125) Domestic and International Companies with representation from Uganda, India, UAE, Turkey, Ethiopia, Kenya, the UK, and others,” she added.

The Guest of Honor at the opening Ceremony of the Expo will be the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Judith Nabakooba who will be flanked by India’s High Commission to Uganda.

The entire partnership will enhance the mission to provide a comprehensive platform to enable the growth of the construction industry in Uganda through interactions with domestic and international exhibitors, who will be showcasing their new cutting-edge products and services.
