Uganda, together with the citizens, has been betrayed at all fronts by the opposition and their legislators.

On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, parliament passed the Coffee Amendment Bill, which caused chaos in parliament after Francis Zaake (NUP) and Anthony Akol (FDC) exchanged blows over a chair.

The race constitutes six candidates, including Rose Kabagyeni from the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Salim Sultana representing the National Unity Platform (NUP), and Grace Akifeza Ngabirano as an independent. Aisha Cyimpaye will carry the People's Progressive Party (PPP) flag, while Juliet Musanase is representing the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and Mable Ingabire for the Uganda People’s Congress (UPC).

Lumu was granted leave from Parliament to review the bill, a requirement in the House rules. This was during the regional plenary sittings held in Gulu city on August 29, 2024.

Kyagulanyi will head to Kisoro on Monday, November 11, 2024, and Tuesday, November 12, 2024, to campaign for the NUP flag bearer Salim Sultana for the Kisoro Woman MP by election.

During the parliamentary session on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the August House turned into a boxing ring and tempers flared when MPs Zaake and Akol clashed over procedural issues, leading to a physical altercation and suspension of 12 MPs.

The Uganda Police continues to direct and divert the NUP convoys off busy town streets with fear of disrupting traffic and business.
