Makerere government students are entitled to meals and accommodation allowances, which many say have been delayed, and the few who have got haven't even gotten 10% of what they are supposed to get. 

National Institutes of Health (NIH) statistics indicate that 21 million girls aged between 15 and 19 years and two million girls less than 15 years become pregnant every year. Anyone found in possession of exam papers or materials is guilty of an offense under Section 25(1) of the UNEB Act and faces a maximum fine of one thousand currency points, or a maximum sentence of five years in prison, or both. Ten million shillings is equal to five thousand currency points.

According to UNEB, Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) candidates pay UGX 34,000, Uganda Certificate Education (UCE) candidates pay UGX 164,000, and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) candidates pay UGX 186,000.
