Rtd Col Dr. Kizza Besigye has urged the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party founding members to save the party from the wavering situation that is still ongoing.

This comes after the FDC Katonga faction led by Besigye held a meeting at Namugongo on Monday, October 23, 2023, to find solutions in rescuing the party from its current dilemma.

According to Besigye, all founding members’ presence at the meeting is critical, as they need to rally together and rescue the party.

“Our current situation is sponsored by our rivals. So, let us discuss and find a solution,” Besigye said.

Besigye noted that, they must focus on the common good and know that the system they are fighting is a bad system, adding that, it’s a system that only cares for personal good rather than the common good.

“This is why you see every house with a high wall, has food inside but everybody is hungry,” Besigye noted.

He said that, they erect walls with barbed wire and dogs to protect the little they have from those who do not have, which is not peace.

Erias Lukwago, the interim President of FDC Katonga faction asked whether FDC is following the values and vision it was created for in as far as the constitution is concerned, especially Najjanankumbi faction.

FDC developed wrangles and split into two factions, that is, Najjanankumbi and Katonga under different leadership each.
