Arsenal Football Club has confirmed that Myles Lewis-Skelly has signed a new long-term contract, committing his future to the club following a breakthrough season in 2024/25.

The 18-year-old midfielder and Hale End graduate made 39 senior appearances across all competitions last season, impressing with his versatility and composure both in midfield and defence.

Lewis-Skelly made his Premier League debut in a 2-2 draw against Manchester City in September 2024, before earning his first start in a 5-1 Carabao Cup victory over Bolton Wanderers days later.

In an official statement by the club on June 26, 2025, the club voiced its willingness and optimism towards the new deal with the youngster.

“He is a hugely talented young player with great potential, and his performances this season have demonstrated both maturity and commitment,” they said.

Lewis-Skelly joined Arsenal’s academy at the age of eight and rose through the ranks, gaining national attention in 2023 after scoring a last-minute winner against Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup semi-final. He played every minute of the club’s run to the final that year.

Speaking after signing the contract, Lewis-Skelly said he is eager to continue improving and contributing to the team.

“I have learned so much this past season and I’m excited for what’s ahead,” he said. “I want to keep pushing, win trophies, and be part of building something special at Arsenal,” he said.

His new deal is seen as a significant step by the club to secure its next generation of talent, as Arsenal continues to blend youth development with top-level ambition under manager Mikel Arteta.
