Acham Wins the Miss Tourism Teso 2024 Crown

After months of battling for the Miss Tourism Teso 2024/2025 crown, Ngora district-born Betty Acham Okello was declared the winner at Cloud 9 Gardens in Soroti City.

Marked by ululations and cheering by hundreds of merrymakers, the well decorated grand finale themed Peace and Tourism was flavored by music performances from Teso’s talents, like Canis Odd, Naf Cee, Amio, and Roddy Gavanna.

Georgina Tirzah Amuge from Ngora district was declared the first runner-up, and Lisa Tino Aleni from Katakwi was declared the second runner-up.

The 13 contestants were judged based on their intelligence, beauty, talent, zeal, and potential to market Teso to the world.

The other contestants who scooped various awards include Amwano Antalia from Amuria, who was declared Miss Personality; Georgina Amuge from Ngora, the Miss Pepsi; Lisa Tino Aleni from Katakwi, designated as Miss Talent; Lilly Priscilla from Soroti City, declared a Rising Woman; Doreen Elora from Tororo for Miss Independent; Achan Betty Okello from Ngora as Miss Photogenic/Popularity; and Sarah Amongin from Katakwi, the Trees for Life ambassador.

Miss Tourism Teso was sponsored by Pepsi, Uganda Breweries Limited, Darling, Aquafina, Etop Radio, and Cloud 9, among other partners.

Sheila Aanyu Ogeuna, the Chief Executive Officer of Miss Tourism Teso, commended sponsors and various fans for their support of the event.
