The Kitara Kabulengwa Fellowship, under the congregation of the St Stephens-Kitara Church, has announced the launch of a mega gospel concert set to take place on July 20, 2025, at the Imperial Royal Hotel Kampala.
The event, aims to unite believers in worship, celebrate Ugandan gospel music, and spread the message of hope and faith across the region.
The concert was officially launched on June 23, 2025, during a press conference at the Imperial Royal Hotel led by the church leaders, local musicians, and notable church members.
Rev Medard Kwikiriza, the priest at Kitara kabulengwa Church, hailed the initiative as a powerful platform to inspire youth and strengthen spiritual growth among Christians.
“Music has the power to transform lives and draw people closer to God. This concert will be a blessing to christians in Uganda and beyond,” Rev Kwikiriza said.
According to Rev Kwikiriza, the event will feature performances by renowned EastAfrica and Ugandan gospel artists, these including Gabbi Ntaate, Pr. Joseph Ngoma, Norah Nankunda, Father Musaala, Peace Mbabazi, Pr. Twine Herbert, Lillian Nabaasa, Annah Muriisa Kyabitondo and Gogo a gospel musician from Rwanda. The concert will also showcase local talent from Kabulengwa and surrounding parishes, highlighting the region’s rich musical heritage.
During the launch, Turyagyenda Denis, the head of laity at the Kitara Kabulengwa Church, mentioned that the concert is not only a celebration of faith but also a fundraiser to support the development of the Church which started in June, 2020.
“We are committed to serving Christ and transforming lives in our community. The proceeds from this concert will help us expand the church’s capacity from 300 currently to 500,” Turyagyenda added.
Tickets are available at a cost of shs 50,000 per person and a table of 5 people at shs 1,000,000, they are currently sold at Kitara kabulengwa churches, KBS TV, Senana supermarket, Willz Hotel Nansana and at the entrance during the concert day.
As preparations intensify, the Kitara Kabulengwa Fellowship invites believers and music lovers across Uganda to join in this historic celebration of faith and unity.
