Security agencies in Mutukula are on a manhunt for a 35-year-old lady who attacked her lover and cut off his private parts, which led him to bleed to death.

The incident happened in the wee hours of Monday, July 22, 2024, in Kabawo zone village near the border of Uganda and Tanzania in Kyotera district.

The deceased has been identified as Regan Karamagi, a resident of Kabawo zone village.

According to the eyewitnesses, Karamagi and Harriet (the suspect) left the bar drunk; however, when they reached home, they had a fight, which prompted Harriet to attack Karamagi with a knife, cutting off his private parts, and he bled out and died.

’’When we reached Karamagi’s house, there was too much chaos, and he was bleeding too much; however, as we were taking him to the hospital, he died on the way,’’ the eyewitnesses revealed.

During an interview on July 22, 2024, the District Police Commander of Kyotera, Hassan Musoba, confirmed this incident and said that a manhunt for the suspect is on, and once caught, she will be taken to court and charged with murder.

’’Harriet took advantage of the chaos that was at the crime scene, and she escaped; however, the police are going to do their best to arrest her and take her to court so that she is charged with murder,’’ Musoba said.

Musoba added that Karamagi’s body was taken to Kakuto Hospital for post-mortem examinations; however, he urged the locals to be mindful of their alcohol consumption, warning that excessive drinking can lead to violent and regrettable actions.
