The 9th edition of the Harvest Money Expo is scheduled to take place from February 14 to 16, 2025, at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, in Kampala, Uganda.
Organized by Vision Group, this annual event has become a cornerstone for Uganda’s agricultural community, offering a platform for farmers, agribusinesses, and stakeholders to converge, share knowledge, and explore the latest innovations in the sector.
Since its inception in 2017, the Harvest Money Expo has seen remarkable growth. Over the past eight years, it has attracted more than 200,000 visitors and over 2,000 exhibitors, significantly contributing to the advancement of agriculture in Uganda.
The Harvest Money Expo has support from various sponsors committed to advancing Uganda’s agricultural sector, including the Embassy of the Netherlands, Tunga Nutrition and Engineering Solutions, National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS), dfcu Bank, KOICA & K-ABIC (Korea Agribusiness Innovation Centre), TechnoServe, and many others.
With a wide range of exhibitors and training sessions catered to different sectors of farming and agribusiness, the next expo will be the most extensive ever.
Leading companies will showcase a range of agricultural machinery, including tractors, planters, irrigation systems, and water pumps.
This offers farmers a hands-on opportunity to explore the latest technologies aimed at enhancing farm productivity.
A series of training sessions will be conducted by experts covering topics such as coffee cultivation, piggery, market access, financing, irrigation, water management, banana farming, tree planting, farm management, passion fruit cultivation, beekeeping, goat keeping, and urban farming.
These sessions are designed to equip farmers with practical skills to improve their operations.
The expo will feature a Dutch village, organized by the Netherlands Embassy, showcasing over 20 companies from the dairy sector, horticulture, seed companies, and agricultural machinery manufacturers.
This international presence underscores the expo’s significance as a hub for global agricultural innovation.
Vision Group’s CEO, Don Wanyama, emphasized the expo’s role in transforming Uganda’s agricultural landscape.
Wayama encouraged all stakeholders, including farmers, agro-input dealers, and agribusiness professionals, to participate actively in the event.
“The expo not only provides a platform for networking and knowledge exchange but also offers tangible opportunities for business growth and development,” he said.
The Harvest Money Expo 2025 is set to be an unmissable event for anyone involved in agriculture.
“With its comprehensive program and diverse exhibitor line-up, it offers invaluable insights and opportunities to advance agricultural practices in Uganda and beyond,” Wanyama noted.
The expo serves as a bridge, connecting farmers with input dealers and consumers, fostering a collaborative environment that has led to the establishment of numerous agricultural businesses.
