Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URAFC) has announced the appointment of David Obua as the new head coach of the club, on a one-year contract.

The development was revealed in a statement by URAFC on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of David Obua as the new head coach of the club on a 1-year contract,” the statement read in part.

URAFC stated that he will be assisted by Peter Byaruhanga Adyeri as the first assistant coach, Fred Muhumuza as the second assistant coach, and Robert Mukasa as the third assistant.

According to the statement, other coaches include Llic Milos as the fitness coach, Byron Okuba as the strength and conditioning coach, Swaibu Ssebagala as the goalkeeping coach, Joseph Lubega as the team doctor, Isaac Ngondwe as the physiotherapist, Ronald Luggya as the kits manager, and Bosco Otim as the assistant kits manager.

David Obua is an ex-Uganda crane striker who retired on March 25, 2015, from football and became the assistant coach of the Maroons football club in September 2018.
