The Uganda National Road Authority (UNRA) has announced plans to undertake maintenance works on the Kampala-Entebbe Highway.
Alan Ssempebwa, the UNRA Spokesperson, said the works will commence on October 31, 2023, to November 14, 2023, and they will cover a six-kilometer stretch from Busega Toll Gates heading to Kajjansi Toll Gates.
“The maintenance work is basically to ensure the highway is in good condition since the public pays for usage; the road should be in a good, usable state,” said Allan Ssempebwa, the UNRA Spokesperson.
He said the works will be conducted jointly by China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) and Egis Construction Company.
On the traffic light installation along the highway, Ssempebwa said the works will be completed by the end of the year.
