The Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, will today, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, preside over the official release of the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination results.
The function will take place at State House Nakasero, beginning at 11:00 AM. This has been confirmed by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
This year’s release is unique as it includes two sets of results: the first cohort under the New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC) and the last cohort under the Old Curriculum Transitional Examination.
The 2024 Senior Four (S.4) results are the second national examination results to be released this year, following last month’s announcement of the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results.
This marks a significant transition in Uganda’s education system as the country fully adopts the new curriculum.
UNEB Spokesperson Jennifer Kalule Musamba confirmed that all preparations for the release were complete.
“Schools will be able to access the results through their designated portals immediately after the Hon. Minister makes the official announcement,” Musamba said.
After the official release, candidates, parents, and well-wishers are able to access the results via SMS by typing the full index number and sending it to 6600.
Additionally, schools will retrieve their results through the UNEB portal immediately after the Hon. Minister’s announcement.
This milestone reflects the ongoing evolution of Uganda’s education system, ensuring a smooth transition between curricula while maintaining academic standards.
