The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has announced that they are currently in the final stages of computing the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results and dismissed the falsified information circulating, alleging that the results were to be released on February 2, 2024.

In a press release issued on Friday, February 2, 2024, UNEB refuted the report purporting that the results were meant to be released on Friday, February 2, 2024.

“The public is asked to disregard this message as it is baseless. We shall communicate officially the date for release when it is set,” the release reads in part.

The UNEB released the 2023 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Nakasero State Lodge in Kampala.

One million, two hundred twenty-four thousand, three hundred seventy-one (1,224,371) students were registered to sit for final examinations in the three education cycles: the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
