Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) has unveiled a monitoring and evaluation Web based system, a platform that will facilitate implementation of UIA’s strategic plan by tracking performance on a continuous basis during a stakeholder engagement event.
As part of its quest to facilitate investments, UIA on September, 7, 2023, engaged the investors on an innovative web-based Investment Tracking Tool at Kampala Resort Hotel, Namanve Industrial Park.
Peter Muramira, the Director of Investment Promotion and Business Development at UIA who represented Mukiza Robert, the Director General, emphasized the importance of investors feeding the right information into the Monitoring and Evaluation system.
“This accuracy ensures that UIA can obtain a clear and reliable picture of investors’ experiences and needs. Ultimately, this data will guide UIA in better serving its clients,” Muramira said.
Byron Sserubiri, the Information Technology Investment Executive, demonstrated the utilization of the Web-Based System to investors.
According to UIA, the introduction of the web-based monitoring and evaluation system signifies UIA’s commitment to improving its services and fostering a more transparent and investor-friendly environment in Uganda. It’s a significant step toward achieving the shared goals of economic growth and development.
The Investor Tracker will provide a single platform for investors to track their applications, permits, and licenses, as well as get updates on the investment climate in Uganda. It will also allow the UIA to better understand the needs of investors and provide them with the support they need.
