The highly anticipated UB40 featuring Ali Campbell has been postponed due to two events falling on the same day and venue.
According to a statement issued by the event organisers on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, the postponement follows an unforeseeable event at the same venue.
“It is with sincere regret and disappointment that we announce the unexpected postponement of the UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell Concert scheduled for the 21st day of December 2023, at the Kololo Independence Grounds due to an unforeseeable event at the same venue that is beyond our control,” the statement read in part.
In the statement, the unexpected development has left all the organizers disheartened. They have therefore, extended their sincere apologies to all stakeholders, partners, and customers for any inconveniences the postponement might have caused.
Talent Africa, the co-organizers with one of the National TVs have noted that, the new date will be communicated in due course, adding that, all tickets remain valid.
Recently the UB40 group had distanced itself from the expected performance at Independence Grounds. However, it was later clarified that Ali Campbell who left UB40 15 years ago in 2008 was the one set to perform in Uganda.
