Business Network International (BNI) a leading business referral organization that generated USD 20.4 billion in revenue via more than 13 million referrals in 2022 is set to hold the East African Convention in Kampala scheduled for September 22, 2023, at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
According to the convention’s organizers, approximately 300 business leaders from East Africa, Asia, Nigeria, and the Middle East will attend the conference to learn from each other, network, and grow their businesses and also attract foreign businesses to invest in Uganda. The event will also feature keynote speakers from India, Dubai, and Kenya.
According to Diana Ninsiima Kibuuka, the National Director for BNI Uganda, the organization has had significant growth in Uganda over the past eight years. Currently, BNI Uganda consists of seven chapters, comprising a collective of more than 250 business professionals who collaborate in referring business opportunities to one another.
’’Uganda has successfully attracted foreign enterprises, while also facilitating the expansion of domestic Ugandan businesses into international markets. A delegation consisting of 15 enterprises from Dubai visited Kampala before the lockdown measures in 2020. The above-mentioned enterprises have established their business within Uganda and are currently doing well,’’ Kibuuka noted.
Stella Nassali Mudoola, the Director of X-Era Limited said that, participants will acquire new skills and tactics for growing their enterprises, strengthening their networks, and enhancing their sales abilities.
Allan Tayebwa, representing Goldmine Finance as the platinum sponsor of the convention, expressed his readiness for the upcoming event, and emphasized that the convention will serve as a platform for business executives from East Africa to engage in mutual learning with both regional and international leaders.
The conference will feature distinguished guests such as Arunoday Ganguly, the National Director of BNI Bahrain, Saleem Althaf, the National Director of BNI Oman, Dr. Kehinde Olubanjo, the BNI Executive Director for the Abuja region, and Elizaphani Muraguri, the National Director of BNI Kenya.
