The United Arabs Emirates (UAE) based company AIM Congress has awarded Uganda for the third time as the best investment destination amongst the East African Community Countries in Africa.
The award positions Uganda as the second-best investment promotion agency in Africa, a recognition that was officially confirmed at the recently concluded 14th Annual Investment Meeting in Abu Dhabi, UAE, hosted by the AIM Congress, a leading global investment platform.
While accepting the award on behalf of Uganda and the Uganda Investment Authority, the State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization, Hon. Evelyn Anite, emphasized that this achievement was made possible through good government investment policies and a favourable, investor-friendly environment.
‘‘This award has been possible as result of President Museveni’s policies on investment that has enabled us to win this award , which in the long run has attracted foreign direct investment (FDI) worth $ 3,304.50million which have created jobs for the unemployed Ugandans’’ Anite said while receiving the award
The AIM Congress is a leading investment platform in the Middle East, which aspires to ignite positive transformation by creating investment opportunities, upholding solidarity and developing economic relations among nations, as well as addressing the global ordeals that make a profound impact on economic growth.
Minister Anite reaffirmed the government’s dedication to supporting and encouraging private sector investment in Uganda.
She encouraged investors to reach out to her office for any consultations or advice.
