Uganda Prisons Set to Pass-out 2234 Officers

Uganda Prisons, is all set for a pass-out ceremony on Sunday, September 10, 2023, which milestone event will see 200 Cadet Assistant Superintendents of Prisons (CASPs), 318 Cadet Principal Officers (CPOs), and 1,716 recruit warders and wardresses graduate.

The Senior Commission of Prisons, Frank Baine Mayanja said that, the ceremony will take place at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, where distinguished individuals and guests will gather to witness the remarkable accomplishments of these dedicated individuals.

He noted that, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding an extra layer of honor and prestige to this event.

“The presence of His Excellency the President highlights the government’s commitment to the improvement and development of the nation’s correctional services,” Baine noted.

According to Baine, the pass-out ceremony of 2234 combining 3 categories of entry serves as a testament to the dedication and hard work of these graduates who have undergone rigorous training to serve in various capacities within Uganda’s correctional system, is not only an important day for the graduates but also a source of pride for the nation as a whole.

“This pass-out ceremony symbolizes the continued growth and excellence of Uganda Prisons and its dedication to ensuring a safer and more secure Uganda for all its citizens” he said.

Uganda Prisons has saluted its new batch of dedicated professionals that are ready to contribute to the nation’s well-being.
