Uganda Baati Limited has unveiled cutting-edge stone-coated steel roof tiles under the brand name Lifestile, a revolutionary stone-coated steel roof tile. It combines light weight, durability, aesthetic appeal, and unparalleled performance, thus redefining the standards of premium and excellence in roofing solutions.
Hon. Kania Mario Obiga, the State Minister of Urban Development, officiated this on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
While speaking at the launch, Hon. Kania Obiga said the government of Uganda plays a crucial role in shaping policies that directly impact the housing sector.
“Our commitment to driving innovation and progress in this sector is paramount. Today, we stand united with Uganda Baati in the shared vision of transforming the housing landscape and providing the people of our nation with access to the best-in-class roofing and building solutions,” Hon. Kania said.
He further reinforced the government’s endorsement of remarkable innovation and its unwavering support for innovation and excellence in this industry.
According to the CEO of Uganda Baati, George Arodi, they understand the significance of reliability and durability when it comes to building solutions.
“We have won many awards for the same, and that’s why we have poured our expertise and passion into bringing Lifestile, premium stone-coated steel roof tiles. We know that a roof is an essential element of any structure, be it residential, commercial, or industrial. Even under the high perimeter walls, it’s the roof that we see in a house,” George said.
“As Uganda Baati, we have broadened our product basket that combines building solutions of unrivaled durability, superior performance, and remarkable aesthetics,” he added.
The CEO further noted that what makes these tiles different from others is their ability to withstand extreme weather conditions, their non-combustible material, and their protection from any fires. Lifestile stone-coated steel roof tiles are eight times lighter than clay or concrete tiles, meaning less strain on the structure, and an easier, faster, and more affordable construction process.
Uganda Baati Limited is a Safal Group member and Africa’s largest steel building solutions company. It was founded in 1964, and was the first company in the East African region to set up an ultra-modern galvanizing line.
