Trump Takes On ‘Two Gender Policy’ in New Golden Age

He makes it rather clear that during his federal government tenure, the state recognizes only two absolute sexes, “male” and “female,” ruling out the controversies causing a fracas on the grounds of sexuality.

Donald Trump, on his first day of office has gone hard on his predecessor, former U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration, in his new executive orders giving an elaborate stance on a long-held gender argument.

He makes it rather clear that during his federal government tenure, the state recognizes only two absolute sexes, “male” and “female,” ruling out the controversies causing a fracas on the grounds of sexuality.

The statesman made his stance while signing away a few executive orders during his inauguration as United States President in a spendthrift event in Washington on January 20, 2025.

In this particular order, Trump clearly spelled out that the definition of what is male or female will be based on whether people are born with eggs or sperm, rather than on their chromosomes.

“As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female,” he said.

He explained that the move was an effort to end efforts to “socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life.”

On December 13, 2022, Joe Biden signed into law a new federal protection for same-sex and interracial couples, capping both a personal and national evolution on an issue that’s enjoyed growing acceptance over the past decade.

The law officially undermined the Defense of Marriage Act, which defined marriage as between a man and a woman. It mandated that states honor the validity of out-of-state marriage licenses, including same-sex and interracial unions.

It permitted US citizens to select “X” as their gender marker on passports, allowing one’s face not to necessarily match the gender on citizenship documents or photo IDs, nor is medical documentation needed to change one’s gender.

Contrary to the Biden attitude towards sexuality and marriage rights, Trump said that the change is being pitched as a way to protect women from “gender extremism.”

What It Says

Trump’s new executive order would also block requirements at government facilities and at workplaces that transgender people be referred to using the pronouns that align with their gender.

Trump’s team says those requirements violate the First Amendment’s freedom of speech and religion.

Trump also revoked protections for transgender military personnel that Biden had signed. There are an estimated 9,000 to 14,000 transgender troops.

The federal government will also shift from using the term “gender” to “sex,” and that sex is “an individual’s immutable biological classification.”
