    The Democratic Party Vice President Mukasa Mbidde has said that as a party, DP will not have anything to do with Hon. Richard Lumu’s proposal of having amendments that will see the Leader of Opposition being elected by opposition Members of Parliament.
    Kampala City traders have since pushed the quest to meet President Museveni to express their discontent; however, their efforts have remained futile after Museveni postponed the meeting to unknown dates. The traders want President Museveni to halt the Chinese dominance of the economy and use of EFRIS, among others.

    Parliament Considers Private Member’s Bill to Allow Opposition MPs...

    The 11th parliament of Uganda, sitting in Gulu City, has granted leave to Richard Lumu, the Democratic Party MP for Mityana South, to present a private member’s bill, allowing all opposition MPs to participate in the election of their Leader of Opposition and Chief Opposition Whip.
