Uganda is making strides to modernize its immigration services to enhance accessibility and efficiency for citizens and international visitors alike.

"Citizens should know that having an expired national ID does not mean expiry of citizenship. Secondly, the cabinet minister issued a statement for the extension of the renewal of national IDs for one more year. Citizens should also know that the National Identification Number (NIN) is permanent and can be used anywhere."

Mudenyi clarified that deportation is ordered by the Minister of Internal Affairs or courts of law, and it prohibits an individual from returning to the country; however, for organized departures like that of Muzungu Boda, individuals can return once they meet the requirements.

The reminder by Immigration aims to streamline the passport application process and prevent any delays or complications that may arise from incorrect information.
