The minister tasked Pramukh Steel Ltd and Victoria Plastics Ltd to construct boreholes for communities to provide drinking water sources for them, replacing the contaminated waters that put the lives of people at risk.
"The boda-boda issue is being handled carefully, and registration of all boda boda cyclists is ongoing. We are going to register a certain number of cyclists per stage, and those without stages will have to vacate Kampala. This will reduce the overcongestion and the high crime rate being committed by these unknown cyclists.”
Ahimbisibwe called upon all stakeholders, such as ministries and local governments of affected areas, to stock health facilities and keep their communities up to date on evacuation plans.
