Kampala City traders have since pushed the quest to meet President Museveni to express their discontent; however, their efforts have remained futile after Museveni postponed the meeting to unknown dates. The traders want President Museveni to halt the Chinese dominance of the economy and use of EFRIS, among others.
As the scuffle between the two parties intensifies, the issue of waste management remains unresolved, and the Kiteezi victims are still in limbo, as some are still living in the temporary settlement (tents) and not resettled in permanentsettlements.
The path to accountability in African politics requires not only the active participation of youth but also significant structural changes to ensure their voices are heard and valued.
