Uganda’s netball team, the She Cranes, has been confirmed to participate in the Netball Nations Cup, battling the world’s best netball teams.
The hosting team, Vitality Roses, will take Uganda, Australia, and New Zealand in a four-day tournament set to take place across two venues in London and Leeds in January 2024.
The Netball Nations Cup will see four of the world’s leading netball nations go head-to-head across the weekends of January 20–21 and January 27–28, 2024, as part of an incredible showcase of international netball.
Fran Connolly, Chief Executive Officer of England Netball team, said the nation is excited to host the Netball Nations Cup, which will feature some of the best teams in the world.
“Following a historic summer where the Roses were once again catapulted into the nation’s hearts, we are excited to host a Vitality Netball Nations Cup where our fans will have the privilege of watching some of the world’s very best netball players and have the opportunity to get behind the Vitality Roses,” Connolly said.

In August 2023, Uganda finished in fifth place at the World Cup; however, the Australian Diamonds and the New Zealand Silver Ferns remain at the top of the world rankings, with England currently placed in third place.
