The couple loved drinking so much, which contributed to the constant domestic violence; however, Sendi is the one who suffered the most.

Security operatives in Gomba district are searching for a 43-year-old woman who tortured her husband to death and later fled with a new lover.

This murder happened on July 17, 2024, in Buye village, Ttaba-binzi sub-county in Gomba district. The police have identified the suspect as Annet Nalwoga and her husband as Jackson Sendi, both residents of Buye village.

According to the locals, the victim was found lying dead in his house in a pool of blood with bruises. They added that Sendi’s wife, Nawloga, had recently divorced her husband and gone to start a new life with a 25-year-old young man; however, she would come back each day to fight and beat up Sendi.

’’Nalwoga is the killer of Sendi because she has been torturing and beating him up for a very long time despite various interventions by the police and local leaders,’’ the locals noted.

During an interview on July 18, 2024, the LC I Chairperson of Buye village, Lazarus Muyingo, said that the couple has been having ongoing fights and disputes for a long time, which he tried to solve, but when they got out of control, he sent them to the police of Kibibi MPenja for further intervention.

Muyingo added that the couple loved drinking so much, which contributed to the constant domestic violence; however, Sendi is the one who suffered the most.

’’Nalwoga was a party animal; she loved sleeping out, and these are some of the things that led to the constant fights between her and the deceased until she deserted her marital home; however, she would still come back and beat Sendi for no reason until she killed him yesterday and fled with a new lover,’’ Muyingo revealed.

He further said that the locals drink a lot of alcohol, which has resulted in many cases of domestic violence and deaths in the village. Muyingo, however, urged the locals to always intervene and notify the authorities whenever a problem arises because people easily die in petty fights.

Sendi’s body was taken to Gombe hospital in Butambala for post-mortem examinations; however, police and the locals are on a manhunt for Nalwoga and her new lover because they escaped after the incident, hence painting them as the core suspects in his death.
