Security has arrested three suspected armed robbers who killed a private security guard during an attack on a Forex Bureau at Kabusu, Rubaga Division, in Kampala.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson, identified the suspects as Sebuma Hussein, also known as Obote, Dumba David, and Abdullah Jumah.

“Two firearms were recovered during the operation, including UG PSO 56 4000868 12452, along with 13 rounds (presumably the firearm belonging to the deceased), and another firearm, believed to have been used in the commission of the crime, with 10 rounds,” Owoyesigire said.

On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, three assailants on motorcycles, armed with a rifle, raided the Banxele Forex bureau Kabuusu branch and reportedly shot and killed Peter Agama, a security guard affiliated with Wolves Security Group who was on guard duty.

“Agama, a male adult approximately 36 years old, was fatally shot while on duty, and his firearm was forcibly taken. Eyewitnesses reported the departure of the assailants, leaving Mr. Agama fatally wounded. Swift action was taken by law enforcement and security agencies following the incident,” Owoyesigyire narrated.

He added that a pursuit of the suspects ensued, culminating in their apprehension in Kawaala Zone at Premier Betting.

A preliminary police report indicates the deceased was shot with three bullets by the assailants, and the body was conveyed to the City Mortuary Mulago for postmortem examination.
