A Rwandan gospel singer has passed away while on tour in Uganda after battling an illness (yet to be disclosed).

Musabyimana Gloriose, popularly known as ‘Gogo’, died on the night of September 3, 2025, according to a medical report from Kyegera Doctors Center.

Her representative, Bikem Uwayesu, who was with her at the time, confirmed the sad news. He explained that Gogo left Rwanda on August 28, 2025, to attend a gospel crusade in Mbarara, which took place from August 29–31.

Following the crusade, Gogo and her team traveled to Kampala for a promotional engagement. Shortly after arriving in the Ugandan capital, she fell ill. Although many thought it was a recurring sickness she had previously managed, her condition quickly worsened.

She was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Gogo was celebrated not only in Rwanda but also beyond, with a strong following on social media. She earned widespread recognition through her gospel music ministry, known for uplifting worship and praise songs that touched many lives.

Her passing leaves a huge gap in Rwanda’s gospel music scene, where she had established herself as one of the most inspiring voices of her generation.
