The Territorial Police at Katwe is investigating circumstances under which a motor vehicle owned by Andrew Mukasa, commonly known as Bajjo, was severely damaged, which resulted in a shooting towards musician Patrick Mugwanya, alias Alien Skin.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, the incident occurred at 6:00 p.m. on November 7, 2023, within the Kirudu zone, Luwafu Parish, Makindye Division, in Kampala, at a car washing facility owned by Bajjo.

He said the assailants, led by Alien Skin, attempted to assault Bajjo, who was fortunate enough to defend himself using pepper spray. However, during their escape, Alien Skin damaged Bajjo’s car in a collision.

“A confrontation between the security guard, Vincent Okalebo, from Caltec Security Company, and Alien Skin’s group arose, prompting the guard to discharge his firearm, causing damage to the vehicle owned by Alien,” Owoyesigire said.

Owoyesigire confirmed the arrest of Okalebo and one individual, Ibra Kabadia, as part of the ongoing investigation into malicious damage and the shooting, noting that Alein Skin managed to escape before the police could capture him.

“Regrettably, Alien Skin managed to evade capture during the police intervention. However, we are actively pursuing his arrest, as well as the apprehension of his associates, to hold them accountable for the damage they caused to the vehicles at the car washing facility,” he added.

The police issued a warning to Alien Skin and his associates and urged them to refrain from using violence and creating disturbances that disrupt the peace of others.
