Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has led a team of top government officials to Luwero Triangle, where they are expected to conduct a series of community mobilizations to boost commercial agriculture.

PM Nabbanja kicked off her tour in Nakasongola district, where she launched the mobilizations tour and urged locals to adhere to the government’s four-acre model farming policy.

“The objective of these tours is to galvanize local communities towards embracing value-added and commercial agricultural practices that hold the potential to elevate their quality of life,” said PM Nabbanja.

She is being accompanied by the NRM Vice Chairman for Central Region, Godfrey Kiwanda, and the NRM Deputy Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Namayanja Rose Nsereko, among others.

According to her, the team will engage with stakeholders in Nakasongola, Nakaseke, and Luwero districts.

The highlight of the visit is a comprehensive stakeholders’ engagement session, carefully arranged to lay the foundation for an upcoming agricultural exposition scheduled for September 1–3 in the respective districts.

Kiwanda said the expo is a national campaign with the overarching goals of farmer mobilization, education, value addition, and enhanced service delivery.

Prime Minister Nabbanja’s tours come as a strategic move to harness the immense agricultural potential that the Luwero Triangle holds.
