The Current Manchester City manager and coach, Pep Guardiola on Wednesday night, August 16, 2023, set history by being the first coach to win the UEFA Super Cup with three different teams. Guardiola’s Manchester City beat Sevilla 5-4 on penalties on Wednesday night for the English club to complete a total of 4 big trophies.

Man City are the UEFA Champions League winners, Premier League winners, and FA Cup winners. On Wednesday, they bagged the UEFA Super Cup, which was their first but the fourth for Guardiola.

Guardiola equals Carlo Ancelottis’ record of super cup wins as a player and manager, though Ancelotti only won them with two clubs of Real Madrid and Ac Milan, whereas Guardiola’s win with three different clubs makes him exceptional.

While addressing the press, Guardiola was full of praise for his team and coaching staff.

“I’m proud. A lot. We knew it from moments earlier in the season and the quality of the opponent,” Guardiola said.

“In general, the game was really good, though we played better in the last 30 minutes of the second half,” Guardiola added.
