President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has extended a huge financial support to a model farmer in Sheema district.
On Tuesday, President Museveni toured Pamoja Mixed Farm owned by Abenawe Honest, a resident of Kalyango village, Kagongi parish, Kyangyenyi Sub County, Sheema County north in Sheema district.

Abenawe, a Human resource specialist said she joined farming after listening to various welath creation messages from President Museveni a fear years ago.
In 2024, Abenawe, whose farm sits on 16 acres, was able to make a net profit of Shs 144 million from the sales of her farm products, including milk, honey, bananas, and fish.
Abenawe told President Museveni that her farm is currently employing over 18 workers from different training disciplines to manage various ventures, including apiary, fish ponds, dairy, and banana plantations.
Before offering a dairy cow to President Museveni, Abenawe said she usually gets 180 liters of milk daily, amounting to Shs 31 million a month, and harvests about 600 bunches monthly, giving her about Shs 9 million.
After touring her farm, President Museveni offered to support Abenawe with a canter truck valued at Shs 80 million to enable her to transport animal feeds and other products.
Museveni also supported her with a total of 10 more exotic breeds of dairy cows valued at the cost of Shs 8 million each, amounting to Shs 80 million.
Abenawe said she intends to import the animals from Kenya, and it will cost Shs 8 million each.
She thanked President Museveni for promoting wealth creation in Uganda, saying farming.
About 10 PDM beneficiaries who turned up at Pamoja Mixed Farm were each given Shs 1 million by President Museveni to support their individual venture.
On Tuesday, President Museveni toured another two farmers supported under the PDM in Rubirizi and Ibanda Districts.
President Museveni will on Wednesday preside over the Ankole leaders meeting in Ishaka Bushenyi Municipality.
