The Nyege Nyege annual festival will return this year to Jinja City. This year’s edition is slated to begin from November 9 to November 12, 2023.

Nyege Nyege is a toast-to-party experience where people enjoy music, dance, and other artistic forms.

The festival also hosts other attractions such as food and merchandise vending, crafts, performance art, and social or cultural activities.

Talent Africa, a private company that organizes the event, said the festival will be held at the source of the Nile in Jinja, Jinja golf course, and Jinja show grounds, under the theme will be “Back to the Source”.

“The event is intended to promote Ugandan talent and boost cultural tourism.

The last Nyege Nyege event was held at Itanda Falls, over 27 kilometers from Jinja City.
