The management of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has announced a scheduled interruption in the water supply today from 8 pm to 6 am.

The corporation explained that the temporary water supply interruption in Kampala City is to ‘facilitate system upgrades and routine maintenance at the Ggaba water plant.’

In a statement posted on their official X-handle on Friday, January 3, 2025, NWSC confirmed this development.

The affected areas include Muyenga, parts of the Kampala Central Business District, Kololo, parts of Jinja Road, Mutungo, Nakawa, parts of Mbuya, Kyambogo, Bombo Road, Mulago, Makerere, Nakulabye, Namirembe, Rubaga, Makindye, Nsambya, and the surrounding areas.

However, the management urges the public to store enough water and use it sparingly as work is ongoing.
