The National Water and Sewage Corporation (NWSC) has announced a scheduled water shutdown affecting several areas around Kampala tomorrow, Friday, September 13, 2024. The outage will last from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
In a statement released on Thursday, September 12, the NWSC management highlighted the affected areas which include Ggaba, Buziga, Kansanga, Munyonyo, Muyenga, Kampala CBD, Nansana, Matugga, Makerere, Kyengera, Nateete, Wankulukuku, Rubaga, Namirembe, Mengo, Kawempe, Bwaise, parts of Jinja Road, Nakawa, Kyambogo, Namasuba, Najjanankumbi, Lubowa, Bombo Road, and surrounding regions.
The shutdown is due to a planned power outage by the UMEME team, aimed at improving the power supply at the Ggaba power station.

Residents are encouraged to prepare in advance to mitigate any inconveniences caused by the temporary disruption in the water supply.
